To begin with I think it is needed to illustrate a
little about what the history is. There are two common methodologies to
express one’s ideas. One is to begin with the end and second is to start
ideas to the end. Here if I take start about the history of a thing with a subject, the history in few words
is a changing process of a time during which, recorded outcome appears.
Tanzeem Nasle Nau Hazara Mughal when founded in 1965 had not had any
history but the background of the process for making history did exist. Today
we hear a lot about the word ‘HAZARA’, but let me venture to say that only
associating with this word, it is not possible to make history thereof in a
house or through a web net. If I am not wrong, it is the people who process
the history through a collective efforts or mass movement. An individual
wishing to produce history can not do it through his writings only or mere
ideas. If one wish to become maker of a history, it would be possible
through continued and consistent struggle for collective cause. Human
beings are said to be a social animal. However, going through the history
of the Tanzeem Nasl-e-Nau Hazara Mughal, there is no doubt, it was formed
through resolution of a meeting but made history through passage of the
time, through the process and sacrifices. There was a time when nobody
could think of the word “Hazara”, even a Hazara himself used to feel
shame, portraying himself to be a Hazara. I am not interested to involve
myself in the word Hazara literally as where it comes from, what meaning
it has rooted to, when it appeared to be used as the name of a people in a
collective form and finally why this name has become the identity of a
people. These are all, as I believe, the question that answer should be
traced through academic research and it is not in my reach here. What
makes me say is that the identity of a people relates to the memory of
that people. And it is an admitted fact that memory and identity is
interlinked phenomenon in the sense that it is the memory, which construct
the past and it is the past which produce your identity. That is why the
Israeli psychologist Denal Bryne has said that the Jews born with the
memory of Holocaust differs in their attitude from those who is born
today. It really matters because the Hazara’s, who carrying the memory of
Abdur Rahman’s atrocities, would certainly make difference in their
approach about the realities of life, comparatively to those who are born
today having no traces of their past sufferings, occurred during Abdur
Rahman’s time.
Thus it is in my memory that while having a journey to Iran and Iraq; when
I was a student of 9th class, my existence turned up to be
cared about, to be targeted for and to be discriminated against by calling
“Oh Barbary” meaning Barbarian. It is in my memory which making my belief
and idealizing my concept to have a realistic approach, convinced me about
this philosophy of collective life that “You are I am” and “I am you are”.
And finally it is in my memory which resounding in my mind, put question
mark, Who I am? Where the word “Hazara” explaining my identity came from?
And where my identity as a Hazara is rooted to in the history.
To find out answers to these questions, it merged into my dream to launch a
movement for the establishment of an organization within my own people, by
my people and through my people to enjoy equal rights in the globalized
society. As a result, in the aftermath of my metric exam held in 1964, I
started taking initiative by laying foundation through a football club,
and to accomplish my dream into reality, I put up a resolution to achieve
my target for the existence of a national organization. As such Tanzeem Nasl-e-Nau Hazara Mughal
came into being and making a history for the slogan “We are, but one Hazara”, started taking its roots amongst the
forgotten people “The Hazara” in the streets of Quetta.
Today if we hear this voice raised all over the world that “To be called a
Hazara must not be treated as a crime any more” proclaimed by Ustad
Mazarai, it is the continuation of that commitment which remained vibrant
through the eventful efforts, through the strenuous strife and through the
sincere sacrifices made by this organization. It is the outcome of that
slogan which was echoed long ago in 1965 in response to the question
asking that, where my identity is rooted to in the history. It is resonant
of that memory resounded in the history to which I belong to and
discriminated for, it is the desire for, to live with dignity, which
constituted aims and ambitions for every human being to find a just place
in the global community.
Ever since Tanzeem Nasl-e-Nau Hazara Mughal came into being, we have
played our role to achieve our goal through the strategy of services to
our people, through struggle for equality of brotherhood and through
interaction with mankind on humanitarian basis. To get at this end I have
declared my full devotion with this commitment that until I die, I will
continue to remain in service to my people's bright and prosperous future.
Tanzeem
Nasle Nau Hazara Mughal is now a well established organization,
representing Hazara people in multi sectorial field of life. It has
splendid track record of activities ranging ahead with dynamic vision
toward a specific goal. The committed sustainable services rendered for
Hazara’s through this setup has integrated national characteristic status
into mainstream of global society. Today Tanzeem has become a recognized
paradigm in the epistemology of Hazara by maintaining a cohesive
historical process. It have substantiated the conceptual approach of our
national entity, and its viable achievement.
As for today, Tanzeem has grown very well physically, beginning with a
small rented room in 1965, now it has a total assets of worth more than 35
million Rs., which include its central offices
building, high school, community hall, sports gym, a technical training
center for women, a primary school to be up graded to middle standard this
year, 25 number of shops plus ten rental rooms leased to public against
fixed monthly payment (our only source of permanent income to meet our
recurring expenditure). In view of financial set backs, so far, the
participation in the reconstruction of Afghanistan is just a token one,
limited to launching of a computer literacy and English language Teaching
center in Kabul and one primary schools in Aliabad of Qundos which always
remains at the risk of saboteurs. |
